Conrad Pinto's present body of work focuses on Goa’s rapidly transforming social and ecological landscape. Through relief images that depict traditional occupations, skills, and ways of life on the verge of disappearance, he reflects on the impact of modernization and the erosion of cultural memory.
Conrad Pinto (b.1970) is a Goa-based artist whose practice over the past decade has been rooted primarily in printmaking, while also encompassing painting, murals, and photography. Working largely with woodcut and linocut, his approach to realism is expansive—engaging landscapes, portraits, nature, and the mechanics of visual perception alongside explorations of the subconscious. His prints combine strong graphic structure with careful observation, allowing realism to function as both documentation and reflection.

"The works draw from traditional Goan occupations, skills, and ways of life that are slowly disappearing. Through close observation and a realist approach, I attempt to document these fading practices while honoring their cultural and human significance."
