In Shreeya Dwivedi’s works, one encounters intimate figurative scenes shaped by bold gestures, layered textures, and muted, earthy tones. Her paintings often centre on people, particularly women, capturing moments of vulnerability, presence, solitude, and quiet resilience. Figures emerge through a sense of transience, where memory and absence linger within the image. Drawing from everyday encounters and personal experiences, her works transform fleeting emotional moments into spaces of intimacy, reflection, and shared feeling.

Shreeya Dwivedi (b. 2003) is a Delhi-based contemporary artist with a focus on figurative art. Born in Bihar and raised in Delhi, her practice is deeply rooted in everyday life and personal experiences residing in memory, creating intimate, resonant spaces where personal encounters intersect with shared emotions. She experiments with bold gestures and layered textures to capture the presence, vulnerability and resilience of the people around her, especially drawing inspiration from the women in her life. Shreeya’s work probes into the memory of the present capturing ephemeral realities, encapsulating what comes after attachment with people and objects. Her choice of muted and earthy palette has a semblance of transience and memories that exist in absentia, harbouring a moment of silence, solitude and yet solidarity. Her practice is an ongoing journey of experimentation with the palette, technique and self-expression, recording feelings as she continues to explore diverse visual languages and artistic possibilities.

Shreeya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi (2026). She has exhibited in group shows with Baro Art India, Mool Studio and Kala Kutta Studio, and has participated in workshops with Art For Change.
